Fulnek is located in North Moravia, northwest of Nový Jičín. The town is located at the confluence of the Gručovické and Husí brooks under the peaks of the Vítkovická vrchovina. Fulnek is known for hosting Jan Amos Komenský between 1618 and 1621. To the west of the city, a natural swimming pool and a campsite have been built on the Husí brook.
