The village of Dobešov is a local part of the city of Odry and can be found in the western direction from the city. Dobešov is situated in the area of ​​the Oderské vrchy nature park. Dobešovský hill (548 masl) rises above the village in the southeast direction and Varta peak (590 masl) in the west.
