Divišov, church of St. Bartholomew.
Divišov has been a vassal village since its inception, founded around 1130 by the nobleman Diviš. He was apparently a more important person in his time, because he belonged to the retinue of Prince Břetislav I. In 1545, he was promoted to a town, which had market and throat rights. From this time, the city also had a seal and a coat of arms. Divišov has been a town since 2006. The most important monument of the place is the baroque church of St. Bartholomew.…
