Chychys

The village of Chyšky is located about 9 km north of Milevsko in the district of Písek in the western part of the Devil's Hump at an altitude of 666 m.
No news has survived about the establishment of the village, whose original name was probably Malá Chyška or Malá Chýše. According to legend, gold was once panned here, and this activity could give birth to a village. In the vicinity, piles of sand were found along the streams, which could be evidence of panning.
