Chrudim Mydlářovský dům

This beautiful and very valuable town house is an integral part of the panorama of the historic core of the city. Oddly enough, it is not named after a well-known executioner, but after a soap and candle manufacturer - Matěj Mydlář, who bought the then Gothic building from the widow Markéta Conová in 1571. The well-travelled Matěj visited the Land of the Vlachs several times before the purchase, and then, inspired by the Renaissance, had the house rebuilt in the same spirit.…
