Chrast - Monument to JN Filcík

The monument to the important figure in the history of Czech pedagogy, the Revivalist teacher Jan Nepomuk Filcík (1785 -1837) is located in the cemetery in Chrašice (near the church by the northern cemetery wall). The monument is decorated with a Neo-Gothic turret with a relief of St. John of Nepomuk and a relief symbolizing the teaching profession (a desk with an inkwell, a globe, a lyre).
