Bílovice nad Svitavou - World War I memorial

The monument is located on an island in the village of Bílovice nad Svitavou surrounded by the river Svitavou.
It is the oldest monument dedicated to the victims of the First World War in Europe. The monument itself was created in 1915 at the instigation of the writer Rudolf Těsnohlídek.
Next to it, on the same island, there is also a monument to the victims of the Second World War and Dr. Miroslav Tyrš, the founder of the falconry.
