Bílovice nad Svitavou - Ostrůvek

This is a park-like area in the Svitava river valley at the confluence with the Mlýnský náhon and the Časnýr. In the middle of the park stands a dominant monument to the victims of the First World War, in terms of its mission, it is the oldest in Europe. It was built by the local Sokol at the initiative of Rudolf Těsnohlídek and unveiled on October 10, 1915. The author of the monument is the artist Bohuslav Tepera.
