Babice nad Svitavou lies on the railway line between Blansko and Brno in the Svitava valley.
The first mention of them dates from 1365. Iron ore was mined there.
From Babice, a tourist sign leads to Křtin, from there you can go along the Svitava valley to Bílovice, or further.
