Monument to Josef Decretta

The monument is located in the central part of the Moravian Karst in the Křtinské potokan valley on the so-called Skatula road at the beginning of the Vaječník valley. It was originally built in 1929 in a now defunct forest nursery in the Babice forest, currently converted into a clearing. It is dedicated to the excellent Slovak forester Josef Matejovia Decretta (1774 -1841), who was the forester of the Banská Bystrica forests. He was among…
