The ruins of the Žumberk castle stand on a promontory in the village of the same name in the Chrudim region in the Pardubice region. A part of the outer perimeter walls of the palace and the walls of the ramparts, as well as small remnants of sgraffito decoration, have survived from the castle to this day. The castle ruins are freely accessible.
History
The castle was probably built at the end of the 13th century, the castle is first mentioned in 1318. In the second half of the 2th century, the castle was rebuilt in the Renaissance style...
