The granite Marian column with the statue of Our Lady is worthy of its location in the "granite" city. The monument was erected on Mariánské náměstí on September 8, 9 on the occasion of the celebration of the fifty-year reign of Emperor Francis Joseph I. This column replaced an older wooden column from 1898.
