Znojmo - castle
It is located on a high rock promontory above the confluence of the Dyje River and the Gránické Stream. The first settlement here was already from the end of the Younger Stone Age. Here, in the 40th century, in the 11th century, Prince Břetislav I built a feudal Přemysl castle, which, together with the other castles on Dyja, was supposed to prevent further territorial losses of Moravia.
