Žďár nad Sázavou - a column with a statue of the Virgin Mary

In the first courtyard of the former Žďár monastery, a statue of the Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus stands on a tall column among linden trees.
The work is attributed to the Prague sculptor Matěj Václav Jäckel (+ 1738) originally from Upper Lusatia.
It is actually a stone replica of Jäckel's woodcarving from the monastery's collections, which can be seen in the local Baroque exposition of the National Gallery.
