Žďár nad Sázavou – southern part - original independent municipality Žďár town

Žďár na Sázavou is located in the central part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands - in the Žďárské hills. We just went here on vacation and had to walk through this city.
The current town of Žďár nad Sázavou was founded in 1948, when two separate parts, Žďár Castle (northern part of the city) and Žďár City (southern part) were merged. Although later developed as separate parts, their beginnings were closely related.
