On the northern side of Buková hora, a rocky ridge extends from Ptačí kamené, which is terminated by a distinct rocky knoll. According to an archaeological survey, there was a fortified site considered to be a defunct castle, of which no remains have been preserved. The castle was probably founded at the end of the 13th century and disappeared at the beginning of the 15th century. The castle was also called Rottenstein or Desolate Castle.
