The wooden belfry is a dominant feature of the original wooden architecture in the center of the village. It is the third belfry that was built in the village. The first to be mentioned is a smaller wooden belfry that was blown down by the wind in 1882. A new belfry was built in 1884-86. It was consecrated by Father Bartoš from Písečná in 1887.
