The village of Žampach is located south of the town of Žamberk. The village is famous for its castle from the 16th century, which has been modified several times. Above the village on the hill are the remains of a Gothic castle from the end of the 13th century. A red and yellow tourist sign leads through the village.
The first written mention of the village dates from 1309.
