In the village of Osek near Rokycan, a fortress stood on the site of today's castle. the first written mention of the fortress is from 1379 under Lipolt of Chrást. At the end of the 17th century, under Přibyslav Malovce from Chýnov, the fortress was rebuilt into a baroque castle. In 1681, Ferdinand Leopold Nostic evicted the estate and castle.
