Žacléř, a town under the Žacléř ridge.

The city is also sometimes called the Gate of the Eastern Giant Mountains. Looking into the past, we learn that a castle stood here already around 1300. It was demolished in 1523 and a year later construction of the castle began. The village below the castle was originally called Boprnflost, and after it was elevated to a small town in the 16th century, it began to be called after the castle.
