A trip to the winter sandstone rocks for the beauty of the icefalls. The amount and size of ice falls depends on how cold it is.
 
We leave Brtníky on the way over the hill to Šternberk. The path continues along the hill to the Owl Lookout and further to the Sand Gate. Here it turns down into the rocks to an icefall called Opona. Back up and continue along the road to the turnoff to Brtnický hrádek. The footpath crosses rock crevices…
