From the history of the brewery in Úpica
As was the case with manor mills, the first brewery was located in the basement of Vízmburk Castle, the first center of this locality. Allegedly, it was supposed to be located on the left bank of the Úpa with the malt house. The brewery was located right in Úpica as early as the 14th century, and it is also mentioned during the reign of King George of Poděbrady.
