Vysoké Mýto - sports airport
When the engineer Jan Kašpar landed in 1911 on his flight from Pardubice on the spot where the grass landing field is located today, no one had any idea that an airport would be built here. Back then it was a military training ground. Aviation use only occurred in the 30s, when Masaryk's aviation league was based here.
The oldest hangar at the airport dates back to 1938, and was built by the bodywork company Sodomka.
