Vrchní Orlice has been an independent village since 1603, today a settlement located between Bartošovice and Neratov in the Orlické Horáchna Czech-Polish border. The first written record of Vrchní Orlica dates from 1567. Until 1945, the German population prevailed in Vrchní Orlica.
