Vimperk
Vimperk is located in South Bohemia, south of the town of Strakonice. The city is located at the northern edge of the Šumava protected landscape area and not far from the Boubín Forest. The Volyňka river flows through the town. Vimperk is the gateway to this part of Šumava. Wooded hillsides rise from the outskirts of the city.
