"Velmez" - New Synagogue
Jews began to live in Velké Meziříčí as early as 1636, later a Jewish community was established here and it gathered for prayers in the Old Synagogue before the end of the 17th century. The baroque building, which later ceased to serve its purpose, boasts a well-preserved classicist portal and interesting metal doors and is currently used as a Gallery and Museum.
