Pond Great Gift

Ryník Velké Dářko is located about 6 km north of Žďár nad Sázavou. This is the largest pond in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, in the middle of the wooded landscape of Žďárské vrchy. Great Dick it is surrounded by beautiful nature with extensive forests and many opportunities for recreational activities. The pond is used for recreation, swimming, yachting and boat rides. On the pond, the local club organizes windsurfing races and the largest dragon boat races in the Highlands. Around Big Gift an educational trail leads through two nature reserves reminiscent of the Nordic taiga in appearance. The pond is relatively shallow, the largest depth of the pond is 4 m, the average depth is then 1,5 m. The altitude of the pond is 615 m, which means harsher weather and at the same time guarantees more frequent winds. Cottages and cottages near Velké Dářek are shown below.
