Velehrad Basilica and cluster

The Velehrad cluster is a former Cistercian cluster on the eastern foot of Chrib in the village of Velehrad, about 5 km from the Old Town near Uherske Hradiste. Founded at the beginning of the 13th century, it is the oldest Cistercian cluster founded in Moravia. The cloister and its basilica represent the most important pilgrimage site in the Czech Republic, the National Pilgrimage to Velehrad takes place here every year, which regularly takes part...
