Vacov

The village of Vacov is located about 10 km northwest of the town of Vimperka in the district of Prachatice at an altitude of 720 m.
The first mention of the village dates back to 1352. Vacov belonged to various ruling families and in the 17th century, together with the nearby estate Přečín, it came under the ownership of the Schwarzenbergs. Traditionally, the production of wooden goods, mainly toys, took place here.
