Chapel of St. Jan and Pavle on the hilltop of the Pošumava village of Dobrš is a very exceptional case of a building that has acquired the character of a bell tower. The small Romanesque Kostelík was built around 1230 and is a characteristic one-nave space with a set-back tower, an apse and, above all, a pseudo-Gothic floor.
On the south side of the nave is a Romanesque portal, similar in morphology to the western portal of the parish…
