The village of Tuřany lies approx. 3 km west of the royal town of Slaný on the Karlovy Vary road. The first written mention of Tuřany is from 1115, when the Kladruby monastery had some goods there. There are 166 family and apartment buildings in Tuřany, in which 481 residents live. In 1998, the village of Tuřany was awarded a Commemorative List for the care given to local cultural monuments and for the development of the village.
