Ticháček's chapel above Suchý Dol

The wooden chapel in the Ticháček forest near Suché Dol was built from pilgrims' donations in 1897 as a reminder of the 23 Marian apparitions between 1892 and 1895, which were allegedly experienced by the then fourteen-year-old Kristina Ringlová. Thus, Suchý Důl briefly became a place of pilgrimage. In 1893, the construction of the Way of the Cross around the forest (still perfectly maintained, by the way) and the so-called stone rosary steps began.
