The Second World War and the Nazis' coming to power in Europe, which preceded it, marked the fates and lives of people of Jewish nationality in the town of Teplice under the Ore Mountains. The first documented mention of a Jewish community in this spa town dates back to 1414, the ghetto was located on the site of today's colonnade and cultural center.
