Hans Kudlich, physician and Austrian politician, member of parliament of German nationality, was born on October 25, 1823 in Lobenstein - Úvalne, then the Austrian Empire. He was the youngest of eleven children of farmer Johann Kudlich and his wife Eleonora Marie. In the years 1834 - 1840 he studied at the gymnasium in Opava.
