Mysterious faces and inscriptions on the rock.

Not far from the small settlement of Varta and the ruins of the Varta castle of the same name, there is a small sandstone quarry hidden in the forest. Mysterious inscriptions and up to 50 cm high reliefs of faces are carved on the walls and stones of the quarry. The walls of the quarry are gradually overgrown with moss, so some of the carved inscriptions are already hard to see.
