Symbolic cemetery of climbers
At Mariánská vyhlídka, about 1,5 km north of the Hrubá Skála castle, a symbolic cemetery of the climbers who died tragically was established under the wall of the Endless Rock. The original idea of the sculptor and mountaineer V.Karoušek came to fruition after the tragedy of a climbing expedition in Peru in 1970, where he himself perished. From Mariánská vyhlídka there is a wonderful view of the surrounding groups of rocks, Trosky Castle and Hrubá Skála Castle.
