The first mention of Světlá dates back to 1403. Its name most likely comes from a bright spot in the woods that was created by felling or burning. From the beginning of the 15th century, Světlá pod Hořičkami belonged to the Vízmburk castle, and in the 16th century it belonged to the Rýzmburk estate. From 1628, it belonged to the Ratibořice estate, therefore to the Náchod manor. In 1638, it is mentioned that the Nachod official writes to a noble lady...
