The village of Svatý Jan pod Skalou is located 5 km east of Beroun. In addition to the main church of St. John the Baptist, there is a beautiful chapel of St. Maximilian in the cemetery. It was built in 1849 for Dr. Maxmilian Berger as a family tomb. Berger entrusted the construction to the architect Bernard Grueber, who created the building in a pleasing neo-Gothic style.
