Štramberk is located in North Moravia, south of Ostrava. The town is located under the peaks of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains and on the right bank of the Sedlnice river. At the southwestern edge of the city, the Štramberk water reservoir has been built on the Sedlnica river.
