The village is located on the left slope of the Hloučela river in the forest enclave of the Březina military district in the northern part of the Drahanská vrchovina. Main road No. 150 connecting Boskovice with Prostějov passes through the village. Currently, 150 residents live here permanently. The area around Stínava was inhabited before our era.
