Černá Jezera is the name given to the vast shallow depression between the castles of Pohansko and Lány. Before the damming of the river Dyje, the water stood here, except perhaps for the warm months in dry years, all year round. A series of shallow pools of water with a cloudy black color were forming here. From this they got their name. Today, the Black Lakes dry up in the summer, but after the spring thaw due to the increased level of the Dyje, we can see them here from the protective dam...
