Statue of St. Wenceslas with angels in Budišov

One of the dominant features of the Town of Budišov near Třebíč is the high-quality baroque sculpture of St. Wenceslas with two angels. It is located at the crossroads from which it turns to the nearby village of Hodov. This remarkable work was made in 1730 by the sculptor Alexander Jelínek from Velkömeziříč for the local count and husband Paary. The massive pedestal of the statue is decorated with a relief on the front, depicting St. Jan Nepomucký.
