The Czech Baroque sculptor Alexander Jelínek (1704-1743) from Kosmonos worked for the holders of the Budišov manor of Paary also in nearby Tasov. He took part in the decoration of the parish church of St. Peter and Paul, for whom he sculpted a pair of monumental, significantly larger-than-life limestone sculptures of the aforementioned apostles.
