In the historical center of the town of Slaný, north of Masaryk square, in Velvarská street stands the Velvarská brána. It is the last surviving gate of the city and one of the few documents and remains of fortifications. It was already part of the city's fortifications from the pre-Hussite period (ie the end of the 13th - beginning of the 15th century).
