Rocks - Bischofstein
The ruins of Skály Castle, also called Bischofstein, stand in the southwestern part of the sandstone plateau above the settlement of Skály near Teplice nad Metují. The castle was mentioned for the first time in 1393, and it was mentioned as deserted only in 1567. On the highest point stood the castle with a palace, the core of which was a massive rock tower. At the foot of the rock there is a vaulted cellar and the remains of a well, in the fort there are rooms carved into the rocks and traces of beams...
