A small mountain village located at the foot of the Sedloňovský hill, at an altitude of around 560 m. The first mention comes from 1542, when the local church of All Saints is mentioned in Opočen records. According to legend, the name of the village is derived from a saddle, which was supposed to be very rare. The owner of the estate lost them in the vicinity of the village.
