Rychnov nad Kněžnou – Church of the Holy Trinity

The one-nave church with a five-sided closed presbytery is today part of the grounds of the Kolovrat Castle in Rychnov nad Kněžnou. Jan Blažej Santini – Aichl, the famous builder of "Baroque Gothic" significantly contributed to its monumental form. Originally, this building on the hill above the castle was the tomb of the Betengl family, built in the years 1594 – 1602, i.e. more than half a century before the start of the construction of the Baroque…
