Memorial of Karel Plachetka
The exhibition presents a comprehensive ornithological collection containing representatives of 255 bird species and 700 prepared specimens are on display. The collection is the result of a lifetime of work by Karel Plachetka (1877-1961), a native of Bedřichovka in Orlické hory, co-founder and official of the Czechoslovak Ornithological Society and many other ornithological associations and organizations.
