If you want to get a nice view from a height of the battlefield where the decisive battle of the Prussian-Austrian War took place on July 3, 1866, visit the lookout tower at Chluma, ten kilometers northwest of Hradec Králové. Although Chlum is not a prominent hill, its height above sea level is only 334.4 m, but you can still see quite far from here, as I will describe later.
