Museum of the Battle of Chlum
In 1866, the area northwest of Hradec Králové witnessed one of the heaviest battles of the entire 19th century on the European continent. The armies of Austria and Prussia met here. The reason for the battle was mainly the attempt to control Central Europe (especially Germany) by Prussia.
